Mr. Weinberg has been practicing law in the Maryland since 1983. The practice has evolved over the years with a concentration in plaintiff personal injury, including nursing home abuse and neglect, assisted living abuse and neglect, injuries to developmentally disabled individuals (DDA), auto and truck accidents, brain injuries, worker injuries, medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases. Other areas of practice include business formation and consultation, estate planning, administration and litigation. He also represents criminal defendants in traffic and DUI/DWI matters.
In 2001 he founded and became the chair of the Nursing Home Litigation Section of the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association (now known as Maryland Association for Justice, Inc.) "MAJ"). He served as chair for several years and is still active in that and other sections of MAJ. He served on the MTLA Board of Governours for 6 years. He is also a member of several national organizations, including brain injury and nursing home litigation. He has lectured to and written numerous articles for attorneys on nursing home litigation, both in Maryland and nationally.
He has handled numerous referrals from other lawyers, both nationally and in Maryland. Representative long term care and disabled individuals cases include obtaining compensation by settlement or trial for decubitus ulcers (bedsores), falls leading to fractures or death, medication errors, elopement, infections, physical and sexual assaults, and failure to provide safety. Obtaining compensation for the families and victims of long term care neglect and abuse is a way to improve health and nursing care, since hopefully the facilities correct their errors. Mr. Weinberg's 28 year experience in motor vehicle accidents and worker injuries has produced settlements and verdicts to adequately compensate his clients for the injuries and losses they have incurred.
